Jonathan Symcox is the grandson of John Lowe, a Nottinghamshire miner who found himself at the forefront of the 1984/85 miners' strike in the Notts. area. John rose from nowhere to display leadership qualities that earned him widespread respect and admiration from anyone that knew him.
